LIFESTYLE ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA
· Importance of exercise
as per Ayurveda:
Regular exercise improves
strength & increases appetite and helps lose extra fats, also improves
muscletone and maintain a proper posture.
· Hot water benefits:
As per Ayurveda, Ushna jal(hot water), improves appetite and digestion,
is good for voice and throat related troubles. Hot water is Laghu( mobile and
actively motile) in nature. Thereby reaching any destination in the body. It purifies
the bladder, is good for the treating heaviness in the abdomen. It helps
treating TRIDOSHA related troubles ( diseases pertaining to VATTA and KAPHA)
e.g sciatica, multiple joint pains, etc. Nava shuddhi, Nava jvara, Aamajirna,
cold, and disease related to the respiration.
· Benefits of sleep:
Ayurveda states that, a sound sleep is essential for a healthy life, as
it provides a person with internal state of bliss, balancing and maintaining a
good neurochemistry, increasing vigour, and even helps to prolong life. A disturbed sleep, improper
sleep or a total lack of sleep is a destroyer of ones happiness and is also detrimental to the quality of ones life. As
per Ayurveda a disturbed sleep is similar to the night of KAALRATRI/AMAVASYA. That
brings bad health and bad omen,
· Benefits of massage:
One must carry out regular massages, as per Ayureveda and should be
practiced as a routine. Massage done daily slows down the aging process,
reduces fatigue, improves and prolongs eyesight, improves physical vigour and mental peace, thereby
prolonging ones life. Also it helps to improve complexion and beautifies a
person and also, improves muscle tone thereby strengthening muscles.
· Benefits of baths:
Bathing helps improve appetite. Improves fertility by enhancing the
sperm maturation, prolongs a healthy a life, boosts mood and physical strength
and helps in problems of skin like burning and itching(as in various skin
trobles), clears dirt in the skin(thereby
preventing the oncoming skin trouble, reduces morbid offensive perspiration
preventing body odour, reduces exhaustion. Hence, it not only treats various
troubles but also prevents them.
· Tips on what food to take:
Ayurveda believes in the slogan of eat to live rather than live to eat, so it states that ones diet must be adequate in both quality and quantity, both excess or lack of proper nutrient is harmful to ones health. So, optimum food is required, both undernutritious or overnutritious diets are deleritious to ones health.
